Oh man, double integrals are not nearly as fun as partial derivatives. Or mayber they are and I just don't like them because I don't know the rules. Things are going well though, miracle have occured on all fronts, the biggest one being me getting 9 hours of sleep last night...AWESOME....well, been saving money under the mattress for two months and finnaly can afford to get into the big leagues and get some TT 200's". Things will start sounding better soon. Home for the weekend and see if I can figure this integration stuff out....Here's a little article I wrote to MSNBC. People have been questioning why Saddam would have prevented inspections if in fact the WMD did not exist. Off the top of my head I wrote this little piece......
I would like to respond to the interesting point Michael Rapoport raises about Saddam not wanting weapons inspectors in Iraq. The forces doing "clean up" work have already discovered nearly a billion dollars in US currency, and will probably find more. With world wide sanctions in place against Iraqi oil for over a decade, it’s obvious the money is somehow related to black market sales of oil. This surprised no one, in fact the mood of the world was in the area of "Oh yeah, we knew about that". This is a bit unnerving to me that billions of dollars of oil was being moved out of Iraq, it seems that everyone knew about it, and no fuss was ever made. Where was the major effort over the past 10 years to crack down on these major black market oil sales which kept Saddam in power? It seems obvious to me that we starved the people while turning our backs to a massive illegal operation that was maintaining Saddam's ability to control Iraq
So basically my point is this, WMD or not, Saddam was involved in illegal oil sales of epic proportions. These are the type of operations that we spend millions of dollars each year in fighting a "War on Drugs", yet we never declared a "War on Illegal Oil Sales". Looking at it in this light, it seems to me that he probably would not want outside inspectors of any kind in his country with unfettered rights to inspect any place any time they wanted. Hans Blix could have easily stumbled upon the aluminum boxes of cash himself. Then the world could have had some questions to ask Saddam, while he was still accountable. "Hey, where did these billion dollars come from?" This could have triggered a massive investigation which could have implicated major international energy consortiums. This investigation could have exposed corruption at the highest level of international trade. Suddenly it becomes obvious to the world that the major players of the international trade market start looking a lot like a global mafia. But I digress.....
