whew!!!!!...the sun peaked out and teased me enough to force me out on a hike....I forget that under the concrete and tar and hundred year old bricks is rock, dirt, sand, roots.....the trails may be well worn, but the city is nature none the less....so i decided to log a twenty miler today....and the urban hike I have to say is quite the exquisite animal.....so many more animals and danger here and there to keep things interesting.....so my advice to my city brethen.....get a good bag and set out on an adventure.....hiked a few miles and ended up at the bike shop for some spokes to finish my new wheel....then down to SBC Park to get some Giants tickets......speaking of baseball the NYT had a sweet article today about an old agrument of mine on the nature of performance enhancing drugs.....I mean, getting stoned added to the adventure of the hike....does that make me an "unatural" hiiker?...well after that, it into the think of the financial district to check out the forest of towers....are deer and hawks really any cooler than pigeons and rats...I think whatever animal we compete on a daily basis becomes an enemy....then went a blazer hunting in the fashion central....diesel had a sweet coat, but $600, well not yet anyway.....then into the Castro for Men's clothes.....NO LUCK....at this poin it was time for eats.....hiking i the city has the advantage of all the forts already being built and merchants at their outpost ready to barter....then a quick stop into Aquarious (great great store) to pick up Akron/Family....damn good.......then powered home with a quick stop at salvation army where for the first time in months I scored quality quality things...so people...take the time to grab a large bag and spend a whole day on adventure choring....ineffecient yes, but I need more of that in my life....Oh if you read this whole thing, good for you, you win the prize....to celebrate my own computer...I am offering a few mix cd's....one of songy songs, one for getting it moving, and one for headphones......if interested.....leave an address in the comment section....no name neccesary...just address and which cd you want....
